Applications:
Used in mineral-filled phenolic, polyester, epoxy and PBT thermoplastic and thermosetting resins, it greatly improves the dry and wet flexural strength, compressive strength and wet electrical properties of reinforced plastics and improves filler wetting and dispersion in the polymer.
An excellent adhesion promoter for polyurethane, epoxy, nitrile and phenolic adhesives and sealants; improves pigment dispersion and adhesion to glass, aluminium and iron; also suitable for polyurethane, epoxy and acrylic latex coatings.
In resin sand casting it improves the bonding of the resin binder and increases mould strength and moisture resistance.
In glass-wool and mineral-wool production it is added to phenolic binders to improve moisture resistance and compression recovery.
In grinding-wheel manufacturing it improves the bonding strength and water resistance of phenolic binders in wear-resistant self-hardening sand.
