Product overview

An ethylene bis-pyrophosphate chelate stabilised with triethanolamine salt; a versatile titanate coupling agent for water-based systems.

Chemical standard name: bis(dioctyl pyrophosphato) ethylene titanate·triethanolamine chelate (aqueous solution)

Domestic standard grade: 311W

International equivalent: Kenrich KR-238T (USA)

Physical and chemical index

Appearance Pale yellow to wine-red transparent viscous liquid with no mechanical impurities, separation, sediment or flocculation.
pH value (25 °C)

7.0~8.5

Density (20 °C)

1.09~1.11g/cm³

Solubility Truly water-soluble and miscible in any ratio with water, aqueous emulsions, glycol ethers and lower alcohols; hydrolysis resistant, no gelling or demulsification
Thermal decomposition temperature

≥210℃

All-round core performance

1. Outstanding hydrolysis resistance and long-term stability in water-based systems

2. Super dispersion, viscosity reduction, anti-settling and reinforcement for inorganic powder

3. Metal surface passivation and rust protection; anti-flash-rust and better salt-spray resistance

4. Better adhesion on many substrates; solves water-based paint peeling

5. Assists crosslinking and improves coating physical properties

6. Low odor, neutral and eco-friendly, excellent emulsion compatibility

Full-industry, all-scenario applications

1. Water-based coatings industry (core, most widespread application)

2. Water-based ink industry

3. Water-based adhesives and sealants industry

4. Wet modification of inorganic powder (calcium carbonate, talc, kaolin, aluminium hydroxide)

5. Wet filling modification of plastics and rubber

6. Other special water-based system applications

Standard application process

1. Water-based coatings, inks and adhesives (most common direct addition)

2. Wet modification process for inorganic powder

3. Wet filling modification of plastics / rubber

Precautions, packaging and storage

1. Packaging and storage

IBC or 25 kg / 200 kg packaging

Store sealed at room temperature in a cool, dry, ventilated place away from light and heat; shelf life 6 months

2. Precautions

For 100% water-based systems only; never use in purely solvent-based systems, where it separates and fails.

Do not mix directly with strongly acidic (pH < 4) or strongly alkaline (pH > 10) materials; this destroys the chelate structure.

Never substitute or blend with ordinary monoalkoxy solvent-based titanates (HP-101/102/109); their structure, performance and applicable systems are completely different.

This product serves a completely different purpose from aluminium acetylacetonate (a powder solvent-based crosslinker); the two are not interchangeable.
