II. Main functions and applications
For surface activation and modification
Mainly used at present for:
1. Surface modification of fillers for various PVC products.
2. Production of fillers for polyolefin products (PE, PM and PP masterbatch).
3. Surface modification of fillers for rubber and various plastic products.
4. Rubber-plastic blends.
5. Surface modification of various organic and inorganic fillers and pigments (light and heavy calcium carbonate, talc, titanium dioxide, kaolin, clay, carbon black, coatings, inks, flame retardants, adhesives, PVC, PE, PP, etc.). Application features After activation with an aluminate coupling agent, inorganic powder is not only consistent in quality but also light in color, non-toxic, low in odor and provides synergistic thermal stability and lubrication for PVC. It has a wide range of uses, needs no diluent, is easy to use and is cost-effective. It lowers the oil absorption value of the powder and improves dispersion and activity, and is used in filled masterbatch, pipes and other industries to improve processing and reduce cost.
III. Usage
1. Pre-treatment: preheat the filler in a high-speed mixer to 110-130 °C to remove moisture, add the coupling agent, stir at high speed for about 5 minutes and discharge.
2. Direct addition: if filler moisture is below 0.5%, add the coupling agent directly.
IV. Shelf life
12 months (below 40 °C, in a dry, cool place away from light)
