PP compatibilizer (900P) is made by graft-polymerizing maleic anhydride onto polypropylene; the strongly polar maleic anhydride side groups introduced into the PP backbone make MAH-g-PP a bridge that improves adhesion and compatibility between polar and non-polar materials.
Product function
In PP + glass fibre modification it reacts with treated glass fibre to improve compatibility between PP and glass fibre, raising tensile and impact strength. Adding a PP compatibilizer when producing filled PP improves the affinity between filler and polypropylene and the dispersion of the filler. It can also act as a surface improver for extruded sheets and boards, improving flatness and removing bumps and pinholes.
